 Shannon and Margaret Schmittou began Coppell Tire & Auto, a small reputable auto repair shop, in May 2002. Why? After a career working as an ASE certified mechanic for several brand name shops, Shannon was tired of the industry's often deserved negative reputation and felt there was a better way of doing business. People simply want a shop they can trust!
Customers are immediately struck by Shannon's low-pressure, down-home style. And, the first time he tells you that you don't need, or can put off, work someone else pressured you to buy, you know it's the real thing. Shannon believes in the importance of repeat business and depends on word of mouth. So his strategy is simple: provide quality service at a reasonable price, deliver what you promise, and take pride in what you do. |
While our prices are considerably less than a dealer, we are not a discount shop. We aim to charge a fair price, competitive with other independent or aftermarket auto repair services. What you pay for are talented technicians and quality parts, not fancy facilities and costly advertising.
Another way is to shop around for parts. Quality work requires quality parts, but you shouldn't have to overpay to get them. We maintain a considerable supplier network to assure competitive pricing. At times we know from experience who offers the best price and service. Other times we have no choice but to buy from the dealer. The rest of the time we get multiple quotes. If you need the work done immediately, we'll use the best local quote. If you have time, we may find significant savings elsewhere. |

Coppell Tire and Auto is a family owned and operated business and that sense of family extends not just to the actual family members, but to each and every employee within the company. Shannon and Margarets team consists of five technicians, the Service Manager Larry Brown, the Customer Service Advisor Brad Fred and several apprentices. Margaret Schmittou (Shannon's Better Half) keeps the shop running with her administrative talents. Shannon's brother Steve is supervising the collision center.
Shannon, Brad and Larry are at their desks first thing every morning and continue working long after everyone has gone home. They learned the value of hard work and commitment at an early age.
